Hello my fellow WOYWW folk out there in Blogland. Thank you for popping in to see what I am up to. If you are new to this and want to find out what all the WOYWW folk are up to then follow this link to Julia's to find out more. Beware there a hundreds of us and we are all equally nosey...........I mean inquisitive! :-D
I thought I would try a different view this week. All my cutting machines and baskets filling up with class materials are on the top of my cupboard. A bag of scrap I really must make sure I remember to take with me for Wendy's art group. Clear drawers full of more class stuff and way up high dies and embossing folders and projects completed and to be started at the very top. The photo frame is a chistmas present from my son. The photos are of murals I painted for him on his bedroom wall. He has out grown them now and to ease the pain I will feel when I paint over them to give him a more grown up bedroom he took photos and gave me this. What a lovely thought - what a lucky Mum I am.
Who put the circuit boxes in my photo and the roll of paper are the old drawings and plans for my house. Not sure why they are there really (the plans not the circuit boxes)!
Forgot to mention that this cupboard hides a secret - my ironing pile. When it busts open the doors I know it is time.......
Trying to keep it short as I do have a tendency to rabbit on but could not go without saying a BIG BIG THANK YOU to everyone for swapping with me. Here is my fabulous ATC bounty - and I even got pretty stamps too!
The bits on the left are the final 2 cards for my classes on Friday piled up with cut card waiting to be put into packs - only instructions to type. That is a today job - but not until I spend a happy hour virtually visiting my WOYWW pals.
PS Only 7 days left of my Blog Candy Giveaway if you are interested in being put into the virtual hat.

You are so organised! I would be - but I don't have space to be.... hmmmm! Love the ATC's. Helen, 3
ReplyDeleteLove those cubby type drawers on the wall..and the look of all those ink pads stacked against the pink - bliss! Your son's bedroom must look fantastic, what a labour of love. And what love to understand that you must let them go too...
ReplyDeletenice looking drawers and cabinet. Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #42
ReplyDeleteWhat a super space to have all(?) your goodies and to be able to see them as you pass by. Bliss.

Pink wall now that is crafty! No pink in this house, not sure DH nor DS would approve! I spy a Cuttlebug my crafty friend :) Super ATCs if I say so myself - LOL. I pop a couple of Tags a month in my Art Journal as I don't seem to be a very Arty Journalling type of a person but I do play around with the double pages inbetween my tag pages. I do journal round my tags too which are Timmy's monthly ones and usually ones made with new crafty goodies. Thanks for stopping by BJ#8
ReplyDeleteFab ATC haul
ReplyDeleteLaura 78
love your shelves on the wall. good stash of aTCs you've received
ReplyDeleteBridget #13
You were right first time Helen - with 'nosey' but there's nothing wrong with that. If we weren't curious we would still be living in caves and hunting with spears. Well I wouldn't, I'd be drawing stylised deer on the cave walls and making my first ATC on a bit of rock.
ReplyDeleteLovely collection of ATCs - good swap wasn't it?

I liked the murals you did, I had great fun painting my younger son's room as a jungle when he was young - was quite sad when the time came to paint over it all...

Hi Helen love your ATCs and how thoughtful of your son, bless. You have a very neat space and I'm afraid my ironing pile would never fit in that cupboard, LOL, would much rather craft!
ReplyDeleteHugs Erika. #41
What a lovely thing for your son to do and what a lovely collection of ATCs. Happy WOYWW :)
ReplyDeleteHey! There are those plastic bins. They have them in one of the offices at work (the testing center to put student's cell phones in while they test-can't bring those into the testing room). I always ogle them and say how they would be so useful in my crafting room. I'm glad to see someone using them! Realistically, I have nowhere to put them, but a girl can dream. Love the colored wall and all your neatly arranged bits. Great ATCs that you received. I saw right off that you clipped the postage stamps from them and thought, "What a brilliant idea!"
ReplyDeleteLovely post, Helen! You received many beautiful ATCs! How blessed you are with great friends and an amazingly thoughtful son!! Have a wonderful week! Darnell 129

Love my Jubilee atc and the goodies that came with it. I might get around to using that crown on an image in my fabric book - hope it works in as it would be nice to include something from you in the book.

Thanks for sharing your alternative view - loved it.

Oh dear I must be getting tired!! It wasn't until I was nosing (er... gazing inquisitively that is) at your ATCs and saw two of mine that I made the connection LOL. How ya doin'? That cupboard wouldn't even hold my ironing pile! Thanks for sharing and for popping by to see me, Cindy #39
ReplyDeleteOh - is that one of the original big red sizzix machines I see tucked away at the back of your desk - I thought I was the only one still using one of those - I'm very reluctant to part with it as it cuts through everything!
ReplyDeleteBernice (67)
Your crafty space looks full of lovely things and the pink wall is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou have a haul of lovely ATC's there. I was so sad to have missed all the birthday fun.
Happy WOYWW

Wow, aren't you organised - and you even hide your ironing from sight! Love the layout in your work room - everything looks so easy to get at, which I find makes art and craft so much more relaxing!

Got your ATC yesterday and I love it, thanks so much! Very clever, and I think it's so special. Reminds me of my visit to London. Tell me about those beautiful fish I can see in the corner on the card front. Did you stamp those or are they from patterned paper? My husband and son love to fish! barb
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful son you have! Fab idea..... bless him! How old is he now???? LOL
ReplyDeleteA Great collection of ATCs there - you didn't say what you're going to do with them, but seeing them on the 12x12 paper gave me an idea for mine! I bought a 12x12 clip frame a couple of weeks ago, and seeing your photo.... that's what I'm going to do! Cheers!
Thanks for stopping by.....
Hello!
ReplyDeleteMany wonderful things! Love the story of your son - great relationship between you two! The ATCs are all so beautiful! Wishing you a good weekend!

ReplyDeleteHi there Helen, Am sorry am so late, feeling a bit poorly! Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #76
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully organised creative space, Helen! Love all the things you've shown us, especially all the gorgeous ATCs you've received. I love the photos of the murals you did. I photograph everything, because when it gets given away or whatever, I feel as if part of me has gone with it, and it really eases the pain to know I've got a photographic record.
ReplyDeleteI'd be absolutely delighted to swap ATCs with you! I am so glad I haven't missed the boat on this special WOYWW anniversary swap - quite a few people want to swap, and I'm really touched. I'll email you my snail mail address.
Sorry to be so long responding but I've been having problems with my comments awaiting moderation not being visible - it turns out it's a Blogger/Firefox problem since the latest Firefox upgrade, so I'm temporarily using IE till they sort it out - hopefully soon!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #15
Hi Helen
ReplyDeleteOne of my blog friends suggested I take a look at your blog, so here I am and I can see a lot of my other blog friends too.
Ive joined your merry gang so that I can keep up with your projects.
Kind regards

Thanks for commenting on my blog, Helen, and so glad you like my zentangles! One will be winging its way to you as soon as I've got the craft show (and recovery afterwards lol) out of the way! As for the colouring, the zentangle comes first, then the colour!
ReplyDeleteShoshi #15
Sorry to be so late visiting Helen but the decorating has meant that getting into my craft room has been difficult. Decorating is done now so as soon as everything is put back in its place things will be back to normal…whatever that is!
ReplyDeleteI can understand how you would feel sad painting over those fab pictures after all your painstaking work but what a great way to preserve the memory of them and especially in a frame brought by your son.
A lovely collection of ATC’s too. We definitely have some very talented crafters in our ‘little’ group, don’t we.
Thanks for stopping by this week.
Happy Crafting!
Sue
