WOYWW 261 - The first step to the next Anniversary!

Hello fellow WOYWW folk and anyone else happening this way.  Hold on to your hats for a very scary ride.  Those of you with neatness tendencies my find the following photos offensive! Tee Hee

This one is not too bad.  This is my photo desk being used as a dumping ground!  On the floor is the hood of our broken extractor fan…..that is hubbies' mess!….anyone would think this used to be his office ;-)

Quick tidy up and I can now use the desk for photo shoots!  I have hung two of my canvases as I don't want to ruin them.  You can see that I don't really have a view out of my windows as my craft room/s used to be a garage and it looks out under the car port.

Again not too bad just a few bits and pieces resting a while where they don't belong!

I have a couple of baskets of cards I am going to donate to a worthy cause……..oh and that pile of filing…..it's my pesky hubbies again!

Brace yourself this is a more scary shot!  I have been working on a layout and have gotten a bit stuck with where to take it next……..Mind you I can't sit down now to finish it off as the chair has stash being stored on it!

All neat and tidy again and ready to work on finishing this off - I had better get on with it as I have a canvas brewing in my head and a June tag to make and a final video for my next workshop too.  Mmmm I think I may be tidying again very soon.

Now those with an OCD disposition brace yourselves!

Once craft area tidy…….one more to go ha ha.  But I am all tidied out and need some WOYWW time. If you have no idea what that is then please follow the link to a wonderful blog.

Now for news on the anniversary swap.  My ATCs are arriving yippee!!!!!  So far I have had 3 pretty ones from the lovely Hettie, Jill and Annie.  I am checking the post every day in anticipation.  I am wondering how long the ones flying in from the USA and Australia are going to take?  Mine were a little late setting off as you know.  I am going to do a separate post about how I created my ATCs as I don't want to spoil it for my other swap partners with a full reveal.  I will link it in next week's post.

If you want to see how my pond is getting on check out the previous post.  I can't add any more photos to this entry ;-)  I am off to see what is going on this week and to check out some more wonderful ATC art.

Oh almost forgot.  I mis calculated how many folk I agreed to swap with and I have two ATCs left to swap if anyone still wants to just let me know on the comments.

Have a wonderful WOYWW and thank you for popping by X

PS if anyone is having trouble with my photos opening will you let me know - thanks x

WOYWW 260 - Happy 5th Anniversary

Happy Anniversary everyone!

This one has to be quick from me this morning but I will be back later to visit when my visitors have gone!

First of all I wanted to show you what I made when I took part in the 3rd WOYWW Anniversary!  I am not sure why I didn't take part in the 4th but here I am for the 5th - How time flies when you are having fun!

As you can see I still have plenty of room for my new ATC swaps.  If I am not mistaken that is Shoshi's delicate Zentangling you can see!

Now my confession  yesterday was supposed to be ATC making day for me but my play was interrupted by visitors so this was yesterday morning.

….And this was late last night and this morning.  I hope to get these finished off tonight and in the post tomorrow!  I am really enjoying working in miniature and if anyone else wants to swap with me I have two left with no homes to go to.  (All gone!  Just nipping in and noticed I have two new swaps!  Off to make strawberry coulis!)

That is it from me as I have a Nutella Mouse to whip up as well as shortbread biscuits and my main which is Chicken Honey and Mustard with Garlic Mash and Savoy Cabbage with bacon to prep.  Ivan is on the starters which is Pacific Pork Kebabs!  Mmmmmm I haven't had my breakfast yet.  Our visiting family have set off about now so I had better get a wiggle on if I want to look calm and oh so prepared when they arrive!  Better not show them my ATCs as it will spoil the illusion tee hee!

Have a wonderful WOYWW everyone and a big congratulations to Julia for bring us all together.  I will be back to visit with everyone later this evening……and to finish my ATCs!  Oh almost for got the link……if you don't know what WOYWW is then follow this link and find out why a fun idea for a desk hop is still going strong and celebrating it's 5th year today!

Thank you for popping by X

WOYWW 163 - It's a Tangle!

Morning everyone.  Please excuse the crunching as I am hungry this morning so I am multi tasking!  At least I can type with my mouth full! :-)

First bit of my desk is the Tag Tuesday Challenge stuff I am itching to get going on, with the last tag I did waiting to be hung up and the next one waiting to be made up (can't show you too much of that - cause it is definitely under construction!)  Some Tim goodies that I treated myself to so I can get on with the 101 course next week - I just need manilla tags.  At the back is a pile of ribbons waiting to be put away (getting dusty now!) and a pen holder that my son no longer uses that I am going to revamp for my studio desk next door.

A bit further along is my class prep - Zentangle is the theme for this month and I have been loving it - I would definitely be chilled if I wasn't prepping for a class as it is a lovely thing to do.  I was thinking of taking some chill out music to play to totally set the mood.  Unfinished Layouts are still at the bottom of all the piles!  You can see Shoshi's perfectly themed ATC on my desk - keep reading and you will see what I mean.

Orders of goodies bagged up and ready for delivery on Friday.  Two samples to be photographed which reminds me I must get that photo light box finished next week.  Hope my pencils don't offend anyone - they are almost in order!!

And here is a close up of the lovely Zentangle ATC from Shoshi!  I love it.  See how perfectly it fits with what I have been doing all week.

Here are two of my card samples in close up.  As you can see you can zentangle on a couple of simple shapes and then put them together to achieve a fab result (if I say so myself :-))  I found a fab photo of some black high heels that have been Zentangled and I may just have to have a go at that!!  They looked stunning.

I'd better finish off so I can get on with my visiting (code for peeping!) at all your desks!  If you want to know what WOYWW is all about then follow this link to Julia's and prepare to be amazed!  Have a fun week and thanks for popping by.

WOYWW 158

Hello my fellow WOYWW folk out there in Blogland.  Thank you for popping in to see what I am up to. If you are new to this and want to find out what all the WOYWW folk are up to then follow this link to Julia's to find out more.  Beware there a hundreds of us and we are all equally nosey...........I mean inquisitive! :-D

I thought I would try a different view this week.  All my cutting machines and baskets filling up with class materials are on the top of my cupboard.  A bag of scrap I really must make sure I remember to take with me for Wendy's art group.  Clear drawers full of more class stuff and way up high dies and embossing folders and projects completed and to be started at the very top.  The photo frame is a chistmas present from my son.  The photos are of murals I painted for him on his bedroom wall.  He has out grown them now and to ease the pain I will feel when I paint over them to give him a more grown up bedroom he took photos and gave me this.  What a lovely thought - what a lucky Mum I am.

Who put the circuit boxes in my photo and the roll of paper are the old drawings and plans for my house.  Not sure why they are there really (the plans not the circuit boxes)!

Forgot to mention that this cupboard hides a secret - my ironing pile.  When it busts open the doors I know it is time.......

Trying to keep it short as I do have a tendency to rabbit on but could not go without saying a BIG BIG THANK YOU to everyone for swapping with me.  Here is my fabulous ATC bounty - and I even got pretty stamps too!

The bits on the left are the final 2 cards for my classes on Friday piled up with cut card waiting to be put into packs - only instructions to type.  That is a today job - but not until I spend a happy hour virtually visiting my WOYWW pals.

PS Only 7 days left of my Blog Candy Giveaway if you are interested in being put into the virtual hat.

WOYWW 156 - Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to you,  Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Julia and WOYWW.......Happy Birthday to you!

I don't know where this week went.  I should have been more organised and I would not have been up so late this morning - still at least it meant I could take my WOYWW photos!

If you roll through these photos really fast it will look like a movie!  I had transferred all my images on to my ATCs but that is as far as I had got so at 1am I had them framed and ribboned.

Then I had an idea to make my images look like sketches and by ten past one I had this plus one design finished!

On a roll now I had direction and I hung bunting on my ATCs (if you haven't spotted it I am going with the Jubilee theme).  All bunting in the air by twenty past.  I had made the bunting earlier in the day.

Word strips and leaf added by half one.

Rose and patriotic jewels and I am almost there - yawning a bit now at one forty.

And last but not least my ATCs all glossy accented and ready to swap.  I went to bed at 1.55 am and this is my desk later this morning as I write this post.  There are 3 discarded ATCs in the top left of photo.   Ready to swap.

I am going to keep one ATC and one to swap with my WOYWW neighbour so if anyone else wants to swap please leave me a comment I have 7 more ATCs to play with.

I must apologise to everyone for not getting to desks last week.  I haven't been in my craft room or blogged at all this week.  I have been busy in the garden getting jobs done while the weather is great and so we have a tidy place for our Jubilee family BBQ on Tuesday.

I NEED COFFEE!
