Good Morning Fellow WOYWW friends. If you are not a member of our gang then follow this link for your initiation!
Left to Right on the desk is still the pile of unfinished layouts now with the addition of the first prep for my class next week added to the top. Then a sketch (more below) and some research for a new camcorder. Left to Right across the top is a map of my blog world hits showing visitors from 43 countries to-date (how cool is that!). Below that is a bit of a tag showing from a Laura's Tag swap - I am presently stalking the postman as I know all the tags are winging their way back to me and other UK participants as I have had some lovely emails from new crafting friends in the USA who have already had their tags with one from me. Stampin up punches (new to my collection) are next with new storage for ink blending foams that are always lying about (idea courtesy of a fellow WOYWW - you know who you are and I should have written your name down - sorry - shout out if you are reading this) The second board is yet to be laminated as it is waiting for me to acquire 3 seasonal ink packs....one day. I live in hope. Then last but not least after a visit to Lavinia's stamp stall at Harrogate and watching her fab demos I came home with my beautiful fairy stamps in hand and recreated her secret garden demo. I love her magical style.
Here is a close up of two ideas I have had for Tag Tuesday which I hope to have time to have a go at today and I want to have a go at Tim's July tag too. Which reminds me a very Happy 4th of July to you way over there in the USA. Wishing you all lots of fun with your friends and family today. My lovely WOYWW badge all new and shiny - thanks again Julia!
Lastly there are a whole bunch of ikea jars just waiting to be washed - don't zoom in or you will surely sneeze! It is another grey day out there in the East Midlands this morning as you can see. Top of my strawberry tower reminds me I have some beauties ready to pick and next to it is a dead conifer that needs removing! Well that is it from my desk today - I am off to make a packed lunch for Cal - can you believe it is two weeks until the summer holidays and a few lie ins for me - yippee! I'll be back to visit with you as soon as I am dressed with coffee in hand - Laters!
Hi there. Nice to pop in and see your creative world this week. I won't stay long; don't want to give you my cold! Hope you have a good creative week though.

ReplyDeleteWhat's this about you going to Harrogate? Next time yu go come and say hello to me on Oyster.
ReplyDeleteLove all those jars - they look so pretty.

Your window looks like a sweet shop with all those jars, but even better because contents are non-fattening. Great idea for the foam pad storage, must have missed that one.
ReplyDeleteRe Deco pages, I am in a swap on Katy's Corner Yahoo group with 6 other crafters. We decide theme and size of our books and then send two fully decorated pages to 'next on list' every month, make our own pages and covers and end up with a beautifully decorated book.
Thanks for visiting Helen, much appreciated

What a lovely lot of crafty goods I see, such a lovely space to have. The ink foam pad idea is brilliant, but as I only have two, I don't need anything like that yet, lol. Enjoy the rest of WOYWW :0) x
ReplyDeleteThats a lovely crafty work space - thanks for the snoop. x Jo #68
ReplyDeleteA very neat and tidy workspace. Enjoy your day. Hugs Rita 75 xx
ReplyDeleteLike Ann says your window sill looks like a candy store...I love how big and tidy your desk is...even though you have a pile of L.O. to finish! I finish mine one at a time because I make a huge mess when working on one!TFS...enjoy your srawbzz!
ReplyDeleteOooo, Lavinia Stamps!
ReplyDeleteThat’s the start of a long slippery slope you know Helen. I’ve seen Lavinia demonstrate at Alexandra Palace a few times and she never fails to amaze me with her beautiful cards. I just wish that I could master the way she does her brayering because no matter how hard I try I always seem to get lines in mine.
Hope you’ve got some clotted cream to go with those Strawberries!
Thanks for stopping by this week and
Happy Crafting!

Hi Helen, your desk looks busy and productive ... interesting to see your sketched plans for tags too. The jar display on your windowsill is colourful ... I have a set of these for buttons and card candi but nowhere near as many as you have. So far I've not even got any of the little Alpine strawberries to pick - in previous years there have been plenty :( Next year, perhaps, if we get some sun. Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #85
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that I loved your candy tag so bright and so clever how you colored it yourself, and the little words on the ends so cute. It does look like candy jars all lined up on your window. It is amazing how far and wide we all come to look at blogs makes the world seem that much smaller. Have a great week. Sandy :)#44
ReplyDeletehappy woyww helen...thanks for the crafty snoop into your crafty space...hugs kath xxx
ReplyDeleteWow a very busy workspace!! Lucky you to have strawberries, I forget them every year. Thanks for popping in to see me this week, Cindy #69
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, those hanging ring things - the rings are on the actual book that is hanging but the clips are sitting on a wire that is stretched from one doorway to the other and is for hanging net curtains on - I don't know if they still have them but when the room was done up with the TV company they bought those from Ikea. I can detach one of the hooks, I think, and send it to you if you want. If you do email your snail address - my email is on my blog RH side.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Neet x
