Sorry about the funny angle of shot! I have a few things on my desk waiting to be put away today (weather permitting!). I finally got down to a bit of journalling to finish off a couple of layouts that have been sitting patiently on my desk for a few weeks now as you know! They have had things piled on them several times but here is three that escaped to the put it in an album pile! You can also see the remainder of the layouts to be finished pile over yonder so I have a way to go yet! I will intersperse Layout finishing with a bit more of the 101 Course. The inks are still waiting. I think I have a colouring with distress inks tag and a sprayed tag using home made distress ink sprays to try next. That is about it.... oh, except a couple of teeny tiny shells that I have to put away after finishing a tag yesterday and my first 3 Christmas Cards this year.
A few close up shots for the details!
I went to visit my Mum and her sisters (my Aunty Jean and Aunty Margaret) last Wednesday and this is what I ended up making. I loved using my Mum's snow flake punches. That punch all over the page one was very cool! 3 down 97 to go!!!
This LO finally has its journalling. I really like sanding photos and it worked perfectly with these Kay and Co papers. Me and little Damian at the beach. Damian is now 29 and a strapping 6 footer! I am the same height, have the same hair do but I am wider!
This LO is of my hubby before we started courting. We started dating 32 years ago and celebrate 30 years of marriage in December.
This LO is of our first date which was on my 18th birthday. We lived in Cyprus at the time and we had a huge Meze with my friends from school - some of my brothers friends and some of my parents friends too. We didn't know it then but Ivan and I went on our first date with both sets of in laws!
Here is a LO I want to do this week of my Dad who boxed for the Army - these are his Regimental Colours though I think I will do the Layout on White or Cream and just embellish with these colours.
Thanks for stopping by to visit me. I am going to do a spot of visiting in my PJs (hope you don't mind!) whilst I have my morning coffee then I am out into the sun and the garden for some much needed vitamin D. Yipee the sun is finally shinning here in the UK!

That's a completely crazy angle for that photo. I felt I'd better hold on before I slid off! Love the cards. I am going to have to keep an eye out for that all over the page snowflake. Lovely layouts - but another scary person getting ready for Christmas!! How's the 101 (I'm guessing it's Creative Chemistry)? I've also signed up for it, but not yet had the chance to get started... very excited. Loving my first WOYWW - thanks for stopping by.

Great layouts, Helen. You have been busy! Just had a look at your rock pool tag and have to say... it's totally AWESOME!!! I laughed out loud at your hubby's comment about the loo paper... There is nothing you can't do with gel medium to get the effect you want, and this is absolutely knock-out! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and your nice comment. Glad you enjoyed my annotated photo this week. Serial killer? I could MURDER a bowl of cornflakes...
Happy WOYWW,

Oh what great layouts and fab pictures. Thanks for visiting my blog and giving me info on what you do to the inside of your cards. its been great to see what everyone does. Sandy :)
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, lovely post and your layouts are terrific ... one of the joys of scrapping is that you get the chance to revisit times past through the photographs. You are so lucky to have those photos of your dad. My dad also boxed for the army but I have no record of it at all ... in fact, I have no photos of him in uniform - such a shame. I think your idea to incorporate your dad's regimental colours is great. Have a lovely weekend, Elizabeth x #24
