WOYWW 163 - It's a Tangle!

Morning everyone.  Please excuse the crunching as I am hungry this morning so I am multi tasking!  At least I can type with my mouth full! :-)

First bit of my desk is the Tag Tuesday Challenge stuff I am itching to get going on, with the last tag I did waiting to be hung up and the next one waiting to be made up (can't show you too much of that - cause it is definitely under construction!)  Some Tim goodies that I treated myself to so I can get on with the 101 course next week - I just need manilla tags.  At the back is a pile of ribbons waiting to be put away (getting dusty now!) and a pen holder that my son no longer uses that I am going to revamp for my studio desk next door.

A bit further along is my class prep - Zentangle is the theme for this month and I have been loving it - I would definitely be chilled if I wasn't prepping for a class as it is a lovely thing to do.  I was thinking of taking some chill out music to play to totally set the mood.  Unfinished Layouts are still at the bottom of all the piles!  You can see Shoshi's perfectly themed ATC on my desk - keep reading and you will see what I mean.

Orders of goodies bagged up and ready for delivery on Friday.  Two samples to be photographed which reminds me I must get that photo light box finished next week.  Hope my pencils don't offend anyone - they are almost in order!!

And here is a close up of the lovely Zentangle ATC from Shoshi!  I love it.  See how perfectly it fits with what I have been doing all week.

Here are two of my card samples in close up.  As you can see you can zentangle on a couple of simple shapes and then put them together to achieve a fab result (if I say so myself :-))  I found a fab photo of some black high heels that have been Zentangled and I may just have to have a go at that!!  They looked stunning.

I'd better finish off so I can get on with my visiting (code for peeping!) at all your desks!  If you want to know what WOYWW is all about then follow this link to Julia's and prepare to be amazed!  Have a fun week and thanks for popping by.

Helen X

  6. Helen, your desk is absolutely mouth watering this week! Love the blue and yellow colours, and your absolutely fabulous zentangles - you've given me some ideas for doing flowers! I'm really pleased to see my ATC on your desk, and I'm so glad you like it, and that it fitted in so amazingly with what you are doing this week! Thanks so much for swapping with me - it's been really fun.

As Sandra De says - I think I've started something with zentangles among the WOYWW family! "Ev'rybody's doin' it, doin' it, doin' it"!!!

    Happy WOYWW,

  7. Thanks for your nice comment, Helen. I'm really glad you like your ATC.

I'm hoping for great things from Shoshi's Blog Shop - if it does better than Etsy that will be a start! As for what's next on the agenda, I want to do my second palette with my alcohol inks.

  30. Hi Helen, it's me again as you asked about my clay flowers.
The clay is rolled out very, very thin, coloured and stamped and then baked. Once done it is still flexible enough to be punched out using a bog standard flower paper punch. Bit stiff on the wrists but it does work.

  32. I am regularly to be found munching when I am typing, though I tend not to do it on the laptops as Hubby gives me the glare. You know. THAT one!
Loving your zentangling there. I may have to give it a go as I do tend to doodle on occasion, though I am not sure if my boss would approve! LOl!
