Morning everyone. Well there I was minding my own business just about to set off on a well deserved desk hop last Wednesday evening and then........My youngest decided to mess up a flick in gymnastics and off to the hospital we went! Poor lad did a good job of it. The NHS staff were fabulous and they have him all set to mend - he has one broken right wrist which is in plaster and one fractured left arm now in a splint......do you think he was trying to get an extra week or two off school? ;-)
So my desk is a picture of yesterday, Tuesday spent madly catching up with card class prep as he did make it back to school today after all. What a mess you see before you!
Remnants of card making and tag making everywhere and definitely no time spent tidying as I go... As if! You will be pleased to know I have spared your blushes and mine by angling my shot so you can't see my not so smalls drying on the radiator....did I really disclose that ;-D
Here is the shot of what I have ready so far for my class on Friday. Three of these designs are responsible for the mess above! I know they look like butter wouldn't melt. One more card design to go so I should get that done today. I had a bit of a brainwave and decided to make more card samples than the usual two of each - my class will like that and then I can put them all towards my Christmas Cards that I need for this year so I will have 24 cards completed today and the same amount next month ....why didn't I think of this last year??????
I'm off to bed and will be up soon to help Cal get ready for school - He is doing really well but needs a bit of help here and there - He is really glad to be getting out of walking the dog and scooping the poop!!..........I guess that'll be my job too then.
Sorry to everyone that I didn't get back to last week - I will do better this week - Touch Wood!
Happy WOWWY everyone....... and if you have no idea what I have been talking about and why then follow this link to Julia's to find out what a happy place WOYWW Land is.
Laters!

Good grief, poor Cal...one wrong flick, hope he heals really fast and gets 'back on the horse' without a problem! Oh the stress to the heart when you get the call, poor you. Loving the cards, it's a great idea..I get sick of the sight of my workshop cards and end up making more....I should stick to my guns!

No wonder you never got round last week. I remember the days when I had to go to hospital for sports injuries. Very scary for mom, but the child seemed to be back at sports almost immediately.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards.
Happy WOYWW!

All your tags look like so much fun. I have some tag/ATC's for this weeks WOYWW. You came over but I make a mistake with the linking and it went to a WOYWW from 2weeks ago. My bottlecaps were sealed with "glossy accents". Thanks for checking in and asking :) We used them as embellishments too and love them! Lisa
ReplyDeleteHello Helen, thanks for visiting earlier, I'm a bit late replying to everyone as not feeling well with a sore throat.
ReplyDeleteLook a messy desk is a creative desk - that's why mine is so tidy lol. Love all the cards you've made.

Oh Helen...SO SORRY to hear about your son. That must have been terrifying. It's so hard when something like that happens to one of our children. Wishes for the speediest of recoveries.
