Hi to anyone that is popping in! As I make this entry I have noticed that WOYWW is becoming my gauge of how many crafting goals I am meeting in a week! I have been trying to finish what was on my desk last week but I keep interrupting myself!!
I did get those bulbs planted yesterday though! So I am even achieving other stuff as a result of telling you all what I am up to or about to be up to. Although I did try hard to finish this layout I didn't manage it as you can see.....
|
Still needs a title and journalling and it will be done! |
I am getting closer though. I took the layout to my Mother-in-law's at the weekend and I have been finding out about the photo. It was taken when she was 14 and was is taken when she spent the day on the beach at Famagusta, Cyprus with her family. I love the style of photographs like this that look like they have been coloured in. I spent ages making flowers to embellish this page but I am pleased with how they turned out.
My Mother-in-law has been given her homework and is going to journal on this page when we visit next. She is nervous about writing on the layout!!
|
Flowers, flowers and more flowers! What a cute puppy with little white socks. |
As you can see I have been making all the bits and pieces for my second layout as I have been designing the first one and already have the background page drying ready to
do the image transfer. The second layout should be done much quicker now I know what I am doing.
The second thing that was on my desk last week is also almost finished but I can't show it to you just yet as it is for a challenge I want to enter. I can show you a bit and keep you guessing a bit longer......How naughty!
|
I just noticed the coloured paint drips on my water pot at the back - my very own rainbow! |
I am on the final embellishing stage of the project now so I shouldn't be too long now. It has to be submitted before the end of the month so I'd better get a move on.
.......So what else can I show you to make this a more interesting visit? Mmmmm, I know,
I have seen that stash shopping is a hot topic for the WOYWW submissions so here are a couple of my latest buys.....
Fabulous metal flowers from We R Memory Keepers, lavish trinkets and metal bird cages from Prima and the little plaque although not stash is a little gift my hubby gave me last week that he bought while working in Scotland. What a sweetie pie! It was on my desk waiting to be given a spot in my craft room so it definitely had to be included.
Thank you to everyone that popped by last week. I love reading all the lovely comments. To anyone wondering what this post is all about then follow this link to

ReplyDeleteBoing indeed! My word, that LO is turning into a masterpiece..perhaps relieve your dear MiL's panic and let her use a journalling spot/card/tab..I know even tough I journal routinely on my LOs, this would make me very nervous! And I love your natural rainbow...such a happy accident!

I would be very nervous about writing on that fabulous page too. The photos are lovely and I too, love the way they have been hand painted (I had one done when I was 16 and I treasure it). Anne #66

ReplyDeleteAt first I was having a terrible time leaving comments on blogs last night. They didn't want to post. NOW I get "service unavailable when I try to leave a comment. It's really frustrating. I see others having trouble with MY link, too.
ReplyDeleteI'd be in the garden, too, if it was nice out. It's been raining here for three days. What a lovely LO. I don't scrap, but this sure is a beauty. Happy WOYWW from # 7.
What a lovely way to keep your memories and those of your Mum. Make the most of her memories and talk to her a lot. I wish so much that I had talked more to my parents and grandparents while I had the chance. Your colours are beautiful, just in keeping with the original photo. Thank you for your visit and lovely comments about our new stamp. Have a good week. xx Maggie #5

You are making great progress and good job on getting the bulbs planted. What a terrific hubby you have!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me. I am following you too now. I moved to Canada from England in November. I have another blog that is a diary about it. Http://jam2maplesyrup.blogspot.com I wanted to keep an account of everything leading up to the move if it happened, and when it did, I wanted to have something to look back on and show the kids later on. There is no crafting on this one, just lots of waffling, photos, etc.
ReplyDeleteWill be back to your blog later on in the week to check out the rest of your posts
Famfa xx
