Very early good morning to you all - It is 3.22 am here and I am up and about and very glad you can't see me right now!!! My eldest is flying back to Gibraltar today and I am seeing him off. His Dad is dropping him off. Whilst I am waiting for them to get dressed I thought I would make myself useful. I hope I am awake enough to make a sensible post.
My first photo is off the mayhem making a Tim Holtz tag creates on my desk!!! As you can see I had lots of fun yesterday.
I will be working on editing the video today though I will post the tag anyway as I am off to see the man himself tomorrow - almost as exciting as going to see the Osmonds!!!! Giving my age away now ;-)
Here is a sneek peak of my August tag and like Tim I have made 4 tags - no wonder it took me so long!!! A real tag work out. I will post the photos of all 4 tags later today. It turned into a mini book of tags. You can see Tim's August tag in the background. The technique was all about masking and stamping.
I am a bit sad now as I have just waived Damian off but only a bit as he is back at the end of September to start a new job - much closer to home than Spain and Gibraltar!!!
I am off to bed for a while as I definitely need more beauty sleep and will pop in and do my desk hopping after my breakfast. If you want to join in a fab desk hop where you get to see what is on crafting desks around the world and to meet lots of fab crafting folk then follow this link to Julia's to find all the links you need to set off on a fascinating journey.
Night Night and see you soon. Thank you for popping by x
This blog is a record of my creative journey. I love to share my passion for paper crafting so I design projects and then create tutorials and workshops to show you how to make them. Please feel free to wander around to check out all the things I share both here, in my ETSY shop and over on my You Tube channel. Thank you for popping by!

Doesn't it feel strange and kind of empty when you've seen them off to foreign lands? He'll be back before you can turn around though. I love your tag - such much gorgeous detail! Hope you have a great, not too sleepy WOYWW rest of the day! Julie Ann xx #42
ReplyDeleteHi Helen, hope you got some more rest and end of Sept will be here before you know it...I know it's difficult living away from our kids. BUT your tags and the storage unit are fantastic... Cheers RobynO#32
ReplyDeleteYou are an early bird aren't you?
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous tags Helen, you have certainly been busy!
I know what it's like to have your children far from home and that's one of the reasons why I moved back to the UK. 12,000 miles apart is far too far!
September will be here in a flash.

ReplyDeletethinking of you - I missed Sam when he was in Slovakia for only a week...

Hope you had your sleep out, and that your eldest got off OK. You've certainly been busy - a real tag-fest! Well done.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.

Gorgeous tags on your workdesk today!! Love how pretty they all are, too pretty to use! Happy WOYWW. ♥ Karen ♥ 82 x
ReplyDeleteCrikey, mrs early bird - I do hope you managed to get off to the land of nod for some more zzz's & aren't too disoriented the rest of the day. I know how hard it is to have ones kiddos (no matter their age) so far away *hugs*
ReplyDeleteYour tag is truly gorgeous Helen. I shall be viewing the rest of them in a wee while. :o) x
Morning Mo
DeleteI am awake again but I have had a really broken night so I will sleep well tonight. No rest for me today though!!!
Damian should be landing just about now. I bet he slept most of the way back too though he is 6ft tall and he doesn't fit very well into the aircraft seats! I will miss him but it won't be long before he is back.
See you later
Hugs

Hello again Helen. Thanks for the visit. It's taken me, on and off, 4 years - the magazine with the pattern is dated Sep/Oct 2008 - but I didn't start it that year. I've done loads of other things in between then and now - like move home, care for elderly parents, care for john-w, my hubby, who has been very unwell, made lots of other stuff, helped at the church.....you know the sort of thing - it's called life! However, I'm so near the end now, I hope to have it done to put the chocs in this November...

You go for it Margaret. The end is in sight. Make sure it has the best chocolates in it too as I know you are going to enjoy every single one after all your hard work. I love advent calendars. I have never seen a pergamano one. I will keep an eye on you to cheer you on!!! Hugs Helen x
DeleteI'm not really jealous of you going to the Tim workshop. If I say it often enough I'll believe it!!! I love the tag. Have a great time. Hugs. Pam#36
ReplyDeleteHelen, I love the pink and green together! I hope you got some more sleep!
ReplyDeleteThat is one GORGEOUS tag! Definitely labor intensive but, WOW! Glad your son will be closer soon. Ours are 800 and 1500 miles from us. Thank goodness for FB! Thanks for visiting and Happy WOYWW!

Love the Tim inspired tag.
ReplyDeleteAww... sad to watch them leave. But knowing he'll return very soon has softened the experience.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of softening... that front tag with the ribbon dress is lovely! And yes, seeing Tim would be like meeting the Osmonds. Have you heard Alan's boy? Nathan is amazing. Look him up on YouTube. And he's such a sweet guy.. just like the rest of his family.
Creative Blessings! Kelly #107
Beautiful tag and I hope you enjoy your time with TIM tomorrow. Have a great week! Danie #62
ReplyDeleteHello, I am sending this to everyone. Im sorry I am not going to be able to get to all the desk and I have now lost my sheet of paper that I was writing them down on. I don't think my cat is going to make it through the night to even see the vet. She is old just like my dog so I guess they are going to get sick at the same time or so. I just going to copy and paste and sorry to every one that I didn't get to read.. I just cant do it right now. Thank you Roberta 40 and bright blessings to all.
ReplyDeleteLovely tags
